MY EXPERIENCE

When I was grade 11th, I went to Bali with my friends in high school. We went to Bali by bus and it took 2 days. Before arrived, my friends and I transited in Yogyakarta in the morning. we arrived in Bali in the next day. We went to Tanah Lot and it was really beautiful. In the evening, we watched special performed named Kecak Dance. It was an amazing show. Next day, we went to Tanjung Benoa to visited Penyu Island. There were a lot of rides like banana boats, scuba diving, etc. After that, my friends and I visited Kuta Beach but I feel a lil bit dissapointed because it was cloudy so we couldn't see sunset at Kuta. We slept on the night to continued the journey. Guess what? Our last day has passed in Yogyakarta. We went to Malioboro and saw Traditional objects there. I took a photo on the night and tried many foods. It was so delicious. We walked at night and come back to hotel at 11pm. In the morning, we prepared to went home with a lot of memories. I think it was a perfect memories and unforgettable.

SENTENCE STRUCTURE

Sentences are formed from words that belong to different categories depending on their function. There are 4 types of sentence structure.

1)      Simple sentence

A simple sentence has the most basic elements that make it a sentence: a subject, a verb, and a completed thought.

Examples of simple sentences include the following:

I found a dollar on the street

She loves to eat chocolate ice cream

2)      Compound sentences

A compound sentence refers to a sentence made up of two independent clauses (or complete sentences) connected to one another with a coordinating conjunction.

For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So

Examples of compound sentences include the following:

I found a dollar on the street, so I went to the candy store

She loves to eat chocolate ice cream, but it makes he tummy hurt

3)      Complex sentences

A complex sentence is made from an independent clause and a dependent clause joined together.

Complex sentences are often formed by putting these words at the beginning of the dependent clause:

After, although, as, because, before, even though, if, since, though, unless, until, when, whenever, whereas, wherever, while.

examples:

Because I found a dollar on the street, I went to the candy store.

Even though she loves to eat chocolate ice cream, it makes her tummy hurt.

4)      Compound-Complex Sentences

A compound-complex sentence is made from two independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses.

Some examples:

1. Because I found a dollar on the street, I went to the candy store, and I bought lollipop
2. As much as he loves cat, he hates dogs.

1. George (subject) is cooking (verb phrase) dinner (complement) tonight (modifier of time)

2. Henry and Marcia (subject)  have visited (verb phrase) the president (complement)

3. We (subject) can eat (verb phrase) lunch (complement) in this restaurant (modifier of place) today (modifier of     time)

4. Pat (subject) should have bought (verb) gasoline (complement) yesterday (modifier of time)

5. Trees (subject) grow (verb)

6. It (subject) was raining (verb) at seven o’clock this morning (modifier of time)

7. She (subject) opened (verb) a checking account (complement) at the bank (modifier of place) last week           (modifier of time)

8. Harry (subject) is washing (verb) dishes (complement) right now (modifier of time)

9. She (subject) opened (verb) her book (complement)

10. Paul, William, and Mary (compound subject) were watching (verb) television (compelement) a few minutes ago (modifier of time)

Review:

This is next season of Maze Runner. The story is about scientist or called WICKED (World In Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment Departement) who wants to find antidote from disease. Two of WICKED  (Thomas and Teresa) sacrifice themselves like removing memories  and joined the others (this is because they kidnapped healthy children since they’re young for scientist studied and removing their memories too) to the place that has been designed by WICKED and to pay attention for their development. WICKED let monsters roam to the place and they just watched one by one died because anyone who can survive from Flare (virus named which can make your brain damaged and people will be Crank for this virus) can through obstacles with his life. I was a little bit unhappy with this movie. The writer of the script dissed original exciting plot from the book. On the other hand, I was so excited for this movie. But I (and other people think who read this book already) this movie mixed from Scorch Trials and Death Cure books (movie will be released early of 2017). This is not pure scorch trials. Some of scene missed. When Gladers (runner or people who kidnapped by WICKED for several years) try to run from laboratory, it must be scene when someone’s head (I forgot the character’s name) was cut from iron balls. And the most exciting scene when Thomas and Brenda trapped in alley and they chased by Cranks. So, Thomas and Brenda went to the room and hide under bed in silence. They run from Crank who doesn’t have nose. This Crank said “Rose took my nose!”. The writer of the book described it well and I got goosebumps. But, Crank found where Thomas and Brenda hide and he smiled while said “Hello, noses!”. And they just dissed this scene and I feel dissaponted. As a replacement, Thomas and Brenda just run from Crank until they climbed the building without any dialogue. Ending of this movie was so strange. WICKED just anesthetize Minho (one of Gladers) and arrested him. And guest what? Teresa is a betrayer! Because she reported where Gladers are to WICKED, so they knew and arrested Gladers because Gladers got tired with WICKED’s game. They don’t want to be their experiment anymore. So far, the movie is not that bad. Plus point, storyline isn’t that boring because director mixed and matched the Scorch Trials and Death Cure.

Favoite Scenes:

When Gladers escaped from WICKED and enter a building. Then Minho turn on the lamp and Cranks are wake up and chased them.

Winston killed himslef because he got bitten by Crank when they try to run. He think that his presence was just a burden and could hamper their escape. So, he asked his friends to leave him alone, and killed himself with a gun while Gladers already left him hardly.

Reason :

The first scene was really surprised me and the second one really touched. I cried in cinema when watched this scene.
